TRUCKSAFE: ANIMAL MANAGEMENT

 
Tanami Transport adheres to the Trucksafe standards which ensure responsible work practices, vehicle maintenance, driver health and training, on-road compliance and documents systems. Tanami Transport has been accredited with Trucksafe since July 1998.

With accreditation in the animal welfare standard, Tanami Transport maintains best practices in customer and sub-contractor management; staff competency, training, responsibilities and management; stock crate maintenance; livestock handling and management; food safety and traceability. Participation in this standard is voluntary but Tanami transport regards this as an important indicator of its professionalism.

NATIONAL HEAVY VEHICLE ACCREDITATION SCHEME

 
A national compliance scheme administered by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator. Tanami Transport is accredited with the NHVAS modules of Maintenance Managements and Fatigue Management. Extensive records are kept to ensure compliance with NHVAS standards. Tanami Transport has been a part of this scheme since July 2008, when it was run by state/territory authorities.

WESTERN AUSTRALIAN HEAVY VEHICLE ACCREDITATION

 
Heavy vehicle operators need to be accredited in order to gain a permit to work in WA. Tanami Transport has management systems in place for fatigue and maintenance with relevant operating records. Tanami Transport has been a part of the WANHVAS since June 2008.
